"James Joseph "Jim" Fisicaro passed away on July 10, 2019 at the age of 70. A native of Omaha, Nebraska, Jim began professionally at the Omaha Public Power District, dedicating himself to a career spanning over five decades in the field of nuclear energy. Each occupational transition that followed proved to solidify Jim as a man of value regarding both his contributions and consistent integrity. He maintained a life, both professionally and personally, best known by his instinctual gift of always being an asset. In any setting, Jim had an innate knowing of how he could best be of service. He was a helper. A doer. The one that could be counted on to show up, have a plan, and likely be halfway through the accomplishing of that plan before most were even aware of a problem that needed solving. Jim thrived in all positions of leadership. Most notably, as leader of his family. His love for his family was made most evident by his tireless giving. Jim was a son, brother, uncle, friend, father, father in law, "Papa" to his three adoring grandsons, husband, and a man of God. He was a gift. Truly treasured in each of those roles. He will be forever remembered as a man of transparency regarding his priorities. He gave all he had for his family. Always. His joy seemed most evident on the many occasions, and various creative ways, that he was able to help his family before a request of him was ever made. He possessed a uniquely remarkable combination of intuition and genuine concern. And was action oriented. These are the hallmarks of Jims life. And his family are better people because of him. Preceded in death by his father Anthony Bartholomew Fisicaro of Littleton, Colorado. Survived by his wife of 51 years Lucia Fisicaro of Baton Rouge, son Bob Fisicaro, son Brian Fisicaro and wife Sam, three grandsons Will, Danny, and Joey Fisicaro, of Baton Rouge, mother Alice Fisicaro of Littleton, Colorado, sister Barbara Hall (and her husband Jerry Hall) of Castle Rock, Colorado, brother Tony Fisicaro (and his wife Cindy Fisicaro ) of Littleton, Colorado and brother Mike Fisicaro (and his wife Terry Fisicaro) of Omaha, Nebraska. Pallbearers will be Brian Fisicaro, Tony Fisicaro, Bill Firesheets, Will Fisicaro, Brandt Schmolke, Chip Marino. Honorary Pallbearers are Mike Fisicaro, Jerry Hall, and Bob Fisicaro. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at Rabenhorst East, 11000 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge on Monday, July 15, 2019 from 10AM until 11AM. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel at 11AM.
