A native of Lafayette, Louisiana and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died on Friday morning at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. He was 65. Brad was a graduate of Carencro High School and attended UL "“ Lafayette. He worked in advertising, marketing, and public relations for more than 45 years in Louisiana. From 1974-1985, he was president of Media Associates, Inc., an advertising firm known for its creative problem-solving approach. In 1986, he formed NEXXT Productions, Inc., and concentrated on broadcast production for radio and television. During his more than 45 years in the industry, he earned countless awards for his work, including the Silver Medal from the Acadiana Advertising Federation. He was a member, board member, and officer of the Lafayette Optimist Club, Acadiana Advertising Federation, Downtown Lafayette Unlimited, Downtown Development Authority, and Festival International de Louisiane. He was one of the first marketing volunteers for Festival International. Brad was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Parish in Baton Rouge, where he served as a Minister of the Word for a time. He is survived by his wife, the former Nancy Gay Noone of Baton Rouge; his son, Douglas Matthew Broussard and daughter-in-law, Michele Schochet, of Redwood City, California; his daughter, Brooke Marie Broussard of New York City; and his mother, the former Ruby Marie Richard, formerly of Carencro. Brad was preceded in death by his father, William Joseph Broussard, of Carencro. Memorial visitation will be held at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 9150 Highland Road on Tuesday, August 4, 2015, from 1:00pm until Memorial Mass at 3:00pm, celebrated by Rev. Trey Nelson. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Steve Picou, William Donnie Picou, Geoff Thistlewaite, Ted Cobena, Jeff Moss, Patrick Pendley, Oliver G. Richard, and Charles Riddle III. A separate Celebration of his life will be held in Lafayette at a later date.
