Jack Thomas Kellogg died on Thursday 7/6/17 at his home, surrounded by relatives and loved ones. He was 77 at the time of his death. The cause of death was complications from a vascular surgery which accelerated his dementia. The accidental "stroke" while under anesthesia removed his ability to stand and talk. As director of internal audit at LSU for 36 years, Jack was very happy to be on the LSU campus. He loved LSU. However he was a graduate of Loyola of the South. He was born in New Orleans, LA. Jack is survived by his wife, Judith C. Kelllogg, son Paul Kellogg (Amy and grandchildren Joshua Paul and Audrey Elise), sister in law Geraldine Hubbell and her husband, Dr. Gerald Hubbell. In Jack's few moments of lucid ability, his grandchildren inspired smiles from their "Paw Paw". He was preceded in death by daughter, Lauren Ann Kellogg, father, Patrick Murphy Kellogg, mother, Pauline Kellogg Medus, sister, Patricia Gele. Special thanks to private sitters Carol Glaviana, Konesha Bruce, Johnny Byrd and Damitra Johnson. These good people loved Jack and he was aware of their love and care! Visitation will start at 9:00 am, service at 12:00 pm at Greenoaks Funeral Home (9595 Florida Blvd) - Monday July 10th. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice.
