Born in Point Blue, LA, November 16, 1921, she passed away peacefully in her home in Baton Rouge, Saturday morning, February 19, 2011. She was 89, a homemaker, wife of Ivan J. Labbé for 65 years, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. As a young girl, she boarded at and proudly attended Academy of the Sacred Heart in Grand Couteau, LA, a graduate of Ville Platte High School, and attended Baton Rouge Business College. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. Survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Anita and James Lanclos of Opelousas, Loretta and Kirby Denson of Baton Rouge, and Beverly Engolio of Plaquemine, whose late husband was Edward Engolio, Jr.; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Saul Labbé and wife Janelle Brown of Baton Rouge, Paul Labbé, and Lynn Labbé and wife Kathleen Nola of Baton Rouge, 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and sisters, Edney Landreneau and Raynell Feaster. She was preceded in death by her husband, her father, Edwin Perron, her mother, Armantine Reed Perron, and two brothers, Maurice Perron and Vincent Perron. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Sunday, February 20, 2011 from 5pm to 9pm, and continue at St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church on Monday, February 21, 2011 from 9:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am by her grandson the Rev. Jason Labbé, celebrant. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Duane, Scott, Joe, Matthew, and Zack Labbé, R.J. Hessler.
