Hugh E McNeely

Hugh Edward McNeely returned to the Lord October 1, 2023. He was born in Ganado, Texas to wonderful parents, Elva Jean and Wayne Edward McNeely October 15, 1952. He graduated from Morgan City HS and married Belinda Ann Templet. He then served in the US Air force as a Russian linguist. He graduated from LSU Law School in 1979 and practiced law for many years. He lived in several states and abroad in the UK, Saudi Arabia and Russia before returning home to be near family. He is survived by daughter Stephanie and her husband Jason Broussard, their daughters, McLain, Madeleine, Ella and Evangeline; his

daughter Lara and her husband Matt Falcon, their daughters Chloe and Mary Grace; mother Elva Jean

McNeely; sister Sylvia Steckley; and sister Virginia McCall. He is preceded in death by his father Wayne and brother Donald. His family wishes to thank all of his medical care team, especially his dialysis nurses and his physicians Dr. Mitch Hebert, Dr. Venkat Banda, Dr. Denzil Moraes, Dr. Zack Bruce, and Dr. Daniel

Lavie. His funeral mass will take place at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 10:30 am Saturday, October 7, 2023. Burial will be in Shubert, Nebraska.
