Helen Ruth Saucier Fisher

Helen Ruth Saucier Fisher passed away peacefully on Monday the 11th of September 2023, after succumbing to her battle with dementia. She was surrounded by the love of her family- those present and those unable to be at her side. She was 94. Helen was born the 30th of June 1929 to the late Francis Weaver and Ellen Chelette Saucier. She was a native of Rosa, Louisiana, and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ray Fisher, her grandson, Mitchell Roller; and her son-in-law, Ernest L. Hestle. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Sharon Fisher Hestle, William Alan Fisher (Shellie), George Wayne Fisher (Margaret) and Tina Fisher Roller (Rick); seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving family members. Visitation will be on Friday, the 15th of September, from 10am-12pm at the Big Cane Baptist Church in Big Cane, Louisiana, with a short service starting at 12pm. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, alongside her loving husband. Memorials may be made to an Alzheimer or Dementia organization or a charity of your choosing. Greenoaks Funeral Home of Baton Rouge handled arrangements.
