Helen Meador Collet

Helen Meador Collet a native of Rayville and resident of Baton Rouge, passed peacefully on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at her home at the age of 93. Helen was a retired employee of Exxon Company, U.S.A. after 37 years and 6 months of service. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and also a great cook. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Joseph Collet; her parents, James Henry and Maggie Meador; her sister, Mary Alice Oswald and a grandson, Colton Collet. Helen is survived by her two sons, Rodney Collet and his wife Laura Lea and Ronald Collet and his wife LeAnn; two grandsons, Jason Collet and his wife Natalia, and Levi Collet; two great-granddaughters, Ellen Farrall Collet and Amelia Grace Collet. A special thanks to Joseph Slocum and Cannon Hospice especially Lois Bell and Linda Vesselle for making her last years comfortable. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 11 am until funeral service beginning at 2 pm. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Arrangements under the direction of Greenoaks Funeral Home, Baton Rouge, LA. In lieu of flowers make donation to Alzheimer Association in her memory.
