Hazel Smith, a resident of Baton Rouge and loving mother, born December 25, 1925, she passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013. She was a strong fighter battling Alzheimer for many years. She is survived by her daughters, Dolores Johnson, Veronica Gale Johnson, Wanda Walker, Beverly Critney and sons, George Smith Jr. and John Wayne Smith; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, George Smith Sr., parents Ferdinand and Ada St. John, brothers Edward, Herbert and Ferdinand Jr. St. John, and one great grandchild. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, Tuesday, December 3, 2013 from 8am-10am. Visitation will continue Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church from 10:30am till Mass of Christian Burial 11am. Interment will follow in Louisiana National Cemetery.
