"A native of Kentwood and a resident of Baton Rouge, she passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at the age of 90. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Hattie's friendships crossed generational boundaries and her generosity was limitless. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd, on Sunday, October 23, 2016, from 5pm until 8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Michael Moroney at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on Monday at 11am, with visitation beginning at 9:30am. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park Mausoleum. Hattie is survived by her son Henry Ognibene, Jr. and his wife Ginny; her daughters, Theresa and Francine Ognibene; granddaughters, Jamie Ognibene and Leslie Bourgeois; grandson, Daniel Bourgeois; great-granddaughter, Gabrielle Johnson; adopted son, Glynn Campbell, all of Baton Rouge; sister, Missy Simmons of Osyka, MS; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lem and Corrine Lillie; her husband, Henry Ognibene, Sr.; sisters: Vernie Varden, Sallie Phillips, Lettie Mae Dillon, and Annie Toney; and brothers: Troy, Pierce, Lem "LH" and Aubrey Lillie.
