Gwendolyn Greer Smith, 87, a native of Sallis, MS and a longtime resident of Baker and Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on August 30, 2012. Mrs. Smith was a piano teacher, church organist and artist. She was devoted to her husband and family. She was a member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons Henry Grady Smith, Jr., and David Russell Smith and wife Mary Laurence Smith; two daughters Traci Smith Perez and husband Rick, and Paige Marie Smith; eight grandchildren Christopher Smith, Rachel Perez, Victor Perez, Rand Smith, M’leese Smith Viola, Ericka Smith, Russell Smith and Matthew Smith; and five great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, Henry Grady Smith, Sr.; son Randall J. Smith, Sr. M.D.; brother and two sisters. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Boulevard, on Thursday, September 6, from 10 AM until services at noon. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Broadmoor United Methodist Church.
