Gregory Scott Simon, 57, passed unexpectedly on November 6, 2022 in Denham Springs LA. He was born on September 22, 1965 in Baton Rouge, LA. Greg was a lighthearted fun guy who loved to tell a story and make others laugh. He also like to have deep conversations about politics or the Bible. He had a wealth of knowledge about music it's history and the people in it. He loved to play on his guitar in the spare time. Greg worked at Simple Simon from his teens to his 50s when health reasons caused him to retire. Greg had loyal customers that trusted him because that's what kind of guy he was. He loved life and the people in it. Especially his family. He is survived by his daughter Rebekah Strickland and his 3 granddaughter's Lilly, Abigail and Roseanna. His mother Melody Longino McCrary, father Bill (Peggy) Simon, sister Angela Simon Swanford and brother Chris (Herpreet) Simon. He leaves behind 4 nieces, 3 nephews, and 5 greats. Our family, along with many friends, will miss him greatly. Rock on Brother!! Visitation will be held Nov. 9, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd. in Baton Rouge. Visitation will also take place Nov. 10 from 9:30 am to 11 am at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 14040 Greenwell Springs Rd. in Greenwell Springs, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment at Greenoaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd. in Baton Rouge.
