It has been far too many years since I have seen Gordon, but my memories include a hearty smile, a great sense of humor, and the kindness he showed to my parents and to me.

Years ago, my transmission crashed while on my return to Lake Charles from New Orleans.  I was alone and frightened and Gordon and Betty helped me every step of the way, picking me up, dealing with insurance, having my car towed, and making sure I reached home safely.  I remember that throughout the episode  Gordon was a strong and capable presence that made me feel safe.
