"Glynn Rita Richard Heroman, a longtime resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Labadieville, LA was entrusted to God's loving care on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at the age of 96. Glynn was born to Fernand and Louise Himel Richard on October 29, 1920. She passed away at Williamsburg Senior Living, her home for the past 15 years. Glynn graduated from St. Mary's Dominican College in New Orleans in 1941. She married John Basil Heroman, Jr. in 1945; they lived in Washington, D.C. after the war and later moved to New York City. They returned to Baton Rouge in 1949 where they settled and raised their family. Glynn is survived by daughters, Lou McPeek, Tulsa, OK, Meg Capdevielle and husband Rick, Baton Rouge, and sons Michael Richard Heroman, Perdido Key, Florida and John Henry Heroman and wife Fay, Baton Rouge; seven grandchildren, John Michael and wife, Jamie Heroman, Ponchatoula, Jena Heroman, Austin, TX , Jeffrey Heroman, Ponchatoula, David and Anna Claire Capdevielle, Baton Rouge, and Sophie and Mia McPeek Tulsa, OK; three great-grandsons, John Michael, Joshua, & Jonah Heroman, and one great-grandaughter Juliana Heroman. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Glynn was preceded in death by her loving husband of forty years, John B. Heroman, Jr.,her sister Iris Richard Falgout, sister-in-law Eloise Heroman Hochenedel, and son-in-law Donald McPeek. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Rev. Frank Uter at Sacred Heart Catholic church on Monday, December 12 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at the church at 9:30 a.m. Interment at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be John Michael Heroman, Jeffrey Heroman, David Capdevielle, John Monroe, Charles Barbre, and Jared Berry. The family would like to thank Glynn's caregivers, Helen, Jacky, Peggy, Tammi, and Terry. Your unconditional love and outstanding care for our mother was a constant source of comfort to our family. We would also like to acknowledge and thank the personnel at Williamsburg who have been so kind and caring over the many years that Glynn lived there. Glynn and J. B. had a very generous spirit and favored many charitable organizations. Donations in their memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
