On Wednesday, October 8, 2014, we lost our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Gloria Mut Landry. The world has lost a bright light, an elegant human being, a talented artist, and energetic volunteer, and tender spirit. Gloria is survived by her children, Michael Chamberlain, Sandra Havens, Carolyn Huff, and Steve Shermer; their children and grandchildren; sisters, Sylvia Lillard, Hazel Lucas, and Dottie Michelli; numerous nieces and nephews; stepchildren, Prudence, Connie, and Elizabeth; and countless friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, P.M. Landry; parents, Edgar J. and Viola Mut; sister, Elizabeth Robinson; Edgar J. Mut, Jr. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Greenwell Springs from 9:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment will follow on the grounds of Greenoaks Memorial Park.
