Gerald West

Gerald H. West, 85, passed away Monday, April 12, 2021 surrounded by his daughters at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice. Born in Pitkin, LA on October 31, 1935. Gerald earned his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Southwestern LA Institute in Lafayette (ULL). He worked more than 50 years in the tire industry and was retired from Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. He was a devoted follower of Christ, loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, & much more. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nan Fife West and parents, Howard & Armenda Doyle West. Survived by his daughters, Vicki West Pitchford (David), Lisa West (Kim Berthelot), & Gerri West Hebert (Casey); grandchildren, John David (Callie), Ryan (Rachel), & Erin Pitchford (Hunter Sayes), Andrea Boe Middlebrooks (CJ), Alyson Boe, Brock, Kendelle, & Lawson Hebert; great-grandchildren, Landry, Thomas, Lucy, & Margaret Mae Pitchford, & Parker Middlebrooks; brothers, Charlie West (Betty) & Russell West (Peggy), & numerous nieces & nephews. Visitation Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 9 AM until service at 10 AM at Greenoaks Memorial Park & Funeral Home located at 9595 Florida Blvd. Burial will follow at Greenoaks.
