Gerald (Jerry) Leo Glahn died suddenly at his home on November 28, 2022, a couple weeks after celebrating his 90th birthday. He was a caring husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Jerry was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma earning a Bachelor’s of Engineering with honors, and his participation in ROTC led to service in the United States Navy and Naval Reserves, retiring at the rank of Captain. His engineering career with Exxon began in Baytown, TX. Jerry and his family were later transferred to Brussels, Belgium before settling in Baton Rouge. Along the way, Jerry earned a Masters in Engineering and an MBA. He is survived by his wife Nancy, brother Greg and four children, Jeanne Glahn, Stephen Glahn, Paul Glahn, and Sandra Repass. His grandchildren are Heather Glahn, Nolan Glahn, Austin Glahn, Megan Castille, Jordan Glahn, and Catherine Repass. They and five great-grandchildren reside in Louisiana and Texas.
Jerry’s funeral will be held at St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church in Baton Rouge on Monday, December 5, with visitation beginning at 9:30am continuing until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. He is to be buried in McKinney, TX near part of his family. Please continue Jerry’s support for the Red Cross.
