Gary departed this world peacefully on Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center after a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer. Born on June 7, 1953, he was a native and resident of Baton Rouge, a 1971 graduate of Catholic High School in Baton Rouge and retired from Tembec USA in 2007. Gary was an avid sportsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting and scuba diving as well as tailgating with family and friends. Service at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Friday, June 27, at 2 p.m. Viewing from 12:30 p.m. until time of service. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. He is survived by his loving wife, Faye A. Bajoie; daughter, Dana R. Bajoie; sister, Veronica Hutchinson and husband Ralph; two brothers, Donald Bajoie and wife Genevieve and Ronald Bajoie; three stepsons, Emmitt III, Reginald J. and Jason D. Glynn; six stepgrandchildren, Brittany, India, Hannah, Brennan, Taylor and Jolie; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Otis L. Sr. and Ruby N. Autrey; brother-in-law, Otis L. Autrey Jr. and wife Willie Mae; sisters-in-law, Randi A. Bell and husband Charles, Vera A. Raby and husband Donald, and Harriet A. Reese and husband Rodney; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, August L. and Dorothy Folse Bajoie; and son, Drew G. Bajoie.
