Frederick Joseph Hebert, born on Aug. 16, 1922, in New Roads, and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2007, at his home. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine S. Hebert, Baton Rouge; daughter, Connie A. Hebert, Baton Rouge; son and daughter-in-law, Paul F. and Jayne E. Hebert, Marietta, Ga.; and stepgrandchildren, Kevin Kluesarits and wife Shannon, and Jamie Klucsarits. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Alphee Hebert Sr. and Marie Thelma Landry Hebert; sisters, Mrs. F.D.W. (Midge) Beatty and Mrs. Allen A. (Mary Nell) Poirier; and brothers, Joseph Alphee Hebert Jr. and Landry J. Hebert. He was a parishioner of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and served in the U.S. Naval Aviation during World War II. He was a member of the Downtown Kiwanis Club, where he served as past president, Alpha Chi Sigma, an honorary chemical fraternity, and Tigerland Annuitant Club. He received a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from LSU and retired from Exxon Co. USA with 36 years of service. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East chapel, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Wednesday, June 6, from noon until religious service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Gerald Burns. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. His nephews and great-nephews will serve as pallbearers. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
