He was the owner and retired after 30 years at Manno's Sales&Service, Bicycles and Lawnmowers. He was president of Manno Realty, who negotiated the first master leases of Regal Nail locations in Wal Mart and Kmart. Frank was a 1950 graduate of Catholic High School, where he lettered in football and basketball. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a native and resident of Baton Rouge. Frank was a devoted father and grandfather, who will be loved and deeply missed by relatives and friends. He died at 1:58am Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 81. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, Sunday from 2:00pm to 8:00pm. Visitation will resume Monday at Our Lady of Sorrow Catholic Church from 9:30am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am, conducted by the Rev. Adam Portugal. Entombment will follow at Greenaoks Memorial Park Mausoleum. Frank is survived by his wife of 56 years: Bonnie Cangelosi Manno; three sons: Frank John Manno III, Thomas Anthony Manno and Steven Joseph Manno; his sister: Marie Manno Cashio; grandchildren: Frank John Manno IV, Thomas Anthony Manno Jr., Jason Paul Manno, Tiffany Leigh Manno and Lance Anthony Manno; He was preceded in death by his parents: Frank John Manno Sr.&Virginia Polito Manno, an infant son, Jerry Manno, and his sisters: Josie Fontenot and Norma Jean Manno. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Frank John Manno IV, Thomas Anthony Manno Jr., Jason Paul Manno, Lance Anthony Manno, and his close friends, Frank Castanza, Basam Kasem; honorary pallbearers are: Buck Langlois, Brent Haydel and Les Reynolds. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital of Memphis, TN.
