Beloved daughter, sister and aunt, Frances Melba Hurst Dupuy, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2018, with family by her side. She was born on October 30, 1932, in Wyatt, LA, moving as a young child to Baton Rouge, LA, then later moving on to her current residence in Brusly, LA. Frances worked for Louisiana Department of Natural Resources for over 30 years. She enjoyed being close to her family and friends and the companionship of her pet poodles. She also enjoyed visiting friends at Caffé Maison, West Baton Rouge Council on Aging and her church family at Church of Addis. Frances is survived by her sister, Sue Hurst Gauthreaux; nieces, Robyn Eagan (Jerry) and Debbie Andries (Greg); great-niece, Kerri Brown (Pierce); great-nephews, Justin Eagan (Michelle), Chad Richard (Cayla) and Randol Richard (Jen Overman); great-great-nieces, Adelynn Brown and Madelyn Richard; and great-great-nephew, Briggs Richard; and soon to arrive great-great-niece, Baby Eagan. Frances is preceded in death by her parents, Alner “Big John” and Flora Hurst; and brother-in-law, Paul J. Gauthreaux, Jr. The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caretaker, Dawn Grove, for her loving care. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Monday, October 22, 2018, from 9:00AM until the time of funeral services at 12:00PM. Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frances’ name to Church of Addis.
