I have fond memories of playing with Fern when we lived on Buxbriar.  Our usual go to was "doctor" and she was kind enough to be the patient! 
I'm thinking about y'all and sharing your sadness.  I hope it brings you some comfort to know that through the years,  when I've thought of Fern, I've smiled.  She was always up for some fun!  Jan Hanover and I have shared stories through the years about our play dates with Fern and all we have are good memories.
