"The youngest of five siblings, Faye always enjoyed family activities with her brothers and sisters." She loved to spend time outdoors fishing, crabbing, and learning new skills in her Bluebird and Campfire Girls troupe. Most importantly, she trusted Jesus Christ as her Savior at Union Avenue Baptist Church in Bogalusa, LA, and faithfully served in various churches throughout her life.
Faye graduated from Bogalusa High School in 1969, then went on to study secretarial science at Baptist Christian College (BCC) in Shreveport, LA. While Faye’s sister, Mary, was previously a student at BCC, she invited Faye up to campus for a weekend to introduce her to Tommy Foust, certain he was Faye’s perfect match. And that he was! Faye and Tommy married in 1970 and were the loves of each other's lives for 22 sweet years until Tommy passed away in 1992.
Faye worked in finance and served as manager of both Sunbelt Financial and Norwest Financial. She was an amazing cook (famous for her shrimp spaghetti) and an accomplished seamstress. She was an avid LSU Tigers fan; the highlight of her week was watching their games and texting family members score updates. Faye was extremely generous, kind hearted, and loving. Though her family will miss her dearly, they are comforted knowing she is reunited with Tommy, in the arms of Jesus.
Faye is survived by brothers, Elbert (Brenda) and Frank (Jackie) Harris of Bogalusa, LA; sister, Mary (Tommy) Aman of Morrow, GA; niece, Kimberly (Brian) Lively of Bogalusa, LA; niece, Monica (Brad) Triana of Bogalusa, LA; nephew, Brent (Judy) Harris of Madisonville, LA; niece, Cheryl (Gary) Marcello of Lawrenceville, GA; niece, Helen (Billy) Cotton of Bogalusa, LA; nephew, Eric (Kristie) Harris of Prairieville, LA; niece, Kristy (Joey) St. Germain of Prairieville, LA; niece, Amy (Dray) Cann of Roswell, GA; niece, Amanda Aman of Atlanta, GA; nephew, Jonathan (Helena) Aman of Joelton, TN; nine great-nieces; four great-nephews; six great-great nieces and nephews; goddaughter, Winter Morvant of Los Angeles, CA; and special friends from throughout her life.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Foust; parents, James and Helen Harris; sister, Elouise Quave Parker; brothers-in-law, Walter Quave and David Parker; great nephew, Anthony Marcello; and great nephew, Zachary Harris.
Her funeral service will be conducted by her brother-in-law, Dr. Thomas Aman, at the Greenoaks Memorial Park Mausoleum in Baton Rouge, LA, on Tuesday, November 29, at 10:00 am.
