Evelyn Gertrude Louque Boyle, 81, peacefully passed from this life into the loving arms of her heavenly Father on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2007, at 5:05 p.m., surrounded by her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. "She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy "¦ Her children arise up and call her blessed "¦ Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all." Proverbs 31:20,28,29. Evelyn's life exemplified this through her outpouring of compassion to those in need. Her greatest passion was sharing her faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She loved discussing and teaching the Bible and praying for the many who called upon her for spiritual support. This spiritual heritage is the greatest legacy she leaves to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Evelyn loved life: enjoying gardening, cultivating roses, spoiling her pets, shopping QVC, and expressing her creativity in writing poetry and in drawing. Toward the end of her life, she developed a love for butterflies, probably because they were symbolic of the metamorphosis that she anticipated at the end of her lengthy battle with Parkinson's disease. Her joy and sense of humor were contagious and will always be remembered by those who truly knew her. The family expresses their deepest thanks and appreciation to their mother's caregivers, especially Linda Robinson, who lovingly and compassionately dedicated herself to the care of our beloved mother. Also, heartfelt thanks to Hospice of Baton Rouge and its caregivers, especially Pauline, Ray and Gwen, who were so supportive and patient, offering guidance in making many difficult decisions. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Boyle; her parents, Morgan Emile and Clovis Ainsworth Louque; two brothers; and two grandchildren. She is survived by those who will treasure her memory: two daughters, Brenda Rae Bankston and Karen Cicero and husband Joseph; two sons, Ricky Boyle and wife Joy, and Randy Boyle and wife Yvonne; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Kitty Boyle; and a brother, Jimmy Louque and wife Virgie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Tuesday, Jan. 9, was from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Stovall and the Rev. Kerri Weems. Interment inResthavenGardensof Memory. Pallbearers will be grandsons Keith Bankston, Christopher Boyle, Evan Averett, Daniel Boyle, Timmy Fletcher and Neil Jackson.
