Estelle Frazier Burns was a gracious, southern lady who loved her children. Despite her tremendous strength, after an eight and a half year struggle with Parkinson’s Disease, she passed away surrounded by her children in her home on Sunday, December 10, 2017, at the age of 79. She was born to Tollie Bennett Frazier and Mamie Dorris Brabham Frazier on April 16, 1938, in Kentwood, LA. Estelle is survived by son, Gary J. Burns and wife, Valerie, of Prairieville; daughter, Leslie A. Burns, of Walker; granddaughter, Christina M. Burns, of Baton Rouge; brother, Roy B. Frazier and wife, Mary Jane, of Sanger, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Estelle is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Alfred J. Burns; son, Mark C. Burns; parents, Tollie and Dorris Frazier; sister, Evelyn Frazier Whitehead; brother-in-law, William Whitehead. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Saturday, December 16, 2017, from 10:00AM until the time of funeral services at 12:00PM. Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. The family wishes to thank all of her caregivers, Dr. Gerald Calegan, Dr. Douglas Say, and his nurse, Vera, for all of their outstanding care and support.
