Ernie Diez Terrell, who was born on Aug. 15, 1932, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. Ernie, a resident of Baton Rouge and a former resident of Pascagoula, Miss., was the beloved wife for 60 years of Charles Donald Terrell, who survived her. Ernie is survived by her beloved children, Timothy Keith Terrell and his wife, Debbie Waltman Terrell, Sandra Terrell Browning and her husband, Norman Browning, Ted Roy Terrell and his wife, Patty Kennedy Terrell, and Wendy Terrell Grantier, all of Baton Rouge, Suzann Terrell Reagan and her husband, Patrick William Reagan, and Tina Terrell Fontenot and her husband, Neil Fontenot, all of Lafayette, and Sandra Baum Terrell surviving spouse of Donald Leo Terrell, of Mandeville. She is also survived by many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ernie was preceded in death by beloved son and daughter, Donald Leo Terrell and Roxann Terrell Ash; her beloved parents, Ophelia Carbo Diez and Leo Pierre Diez; and sister, Audrey Diez Pesson. Ernie, a homemaker all of her life, was devoted to her husband, Don, and their eight children, eighteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and three that are on the way. She blessed her family with her undying love, kindness and her gentle spirit. Ernie was loved by all who knew her and she will be missed in the lives of those who survived her. Pallbearers will be grandsons Ryan Browning, Matthew Browning, Beau Terrell, Keith Terrell, Patrick Reagan and Alex Grantier. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Tuesday, Jan. 10, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church Wednesday, Jan. 11, at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Ernie was a cancer survivor and, in lieu of flowers, would have directed all donations to the American Cancer Society , P. O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
