A resident of Clinton, La. and a native of Baton Rouge, passed away Tuesday June 26, 2012 at the age of 49 at his home. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., of Thursday June 28, 2012, from 9 a.m. till service time at 12 p.m. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park with reception afterwards at the home of Jack and Jan Bates in Watson. Eric is survived by two sons, Eric "Buddy" and Caleb Dufour; mother Mary Dufour Ourso and step-father, Rodney Ourso; five sisters, Leslie Hoff and husband Bill, Beth Ross and husband Wayne, Jan Bates and husband Jack, Julie Dufour, and Lia Williams and husband Duane; two brothers, Joseph Dufour and wife Glenda and Jason Dufour; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Darnell James Dufour; paternal grandparents Byron and Maude Dufour; and maternal grandparents Francis Lionel Templet and Mary Evelyn Templet Ates. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donation be made to South Louisiana Hospice, LLC, 3050 Teddy Drive, Suite B, Baton Rouge, La 70809.
