Ella Vay Haymon Carpenter, a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother, will be missed dearly by all who knew her. She was a native of Leesville and a resident of Walker who passed away Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the age of 85 surrounded by her loving family. Ella Vay is survived by her husband of 60 years, Henry Theodore Carpenter; three daughters, Deanie W. McDonald (Charles W.), Donna W. Bacon, and Denise C. Denicola (Dennis J.); sister, Evilee H. Duszynski; grandchildren, Jeffery Roland Langlois (Ameeneh), J’An Dean Lemoine (Christopher), Lauri B. Guillot, Dedra B. Wallace (Michael D.), Devin J. Denicola, and Derrick H. Denicola; great grandchildren, Catherine Grace Lemoine, JonMichael Lemoine, Sophia Evelyn Langlois, Madeline Dean Langlois, Dallas Michael Bacon, Kymberli Vay Pinell, Jonathan James Guillot, Jeremy James Guillot, and Kamryn Laine Muse; and great great grandchild, Peyton Elyse Bacon. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sam Houston and Maude Mae Haymon; 4 brothers; and 2 sisters. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping, dancing and had a passion for travelling and RV’ing. Ella Vay was a member of Cruisin’ Cajuns and Bayou Allegro motor home organizations, and was a longtime member of the Women’s International Bowling Congress. She was a distributor for Aubrey Creations for many years, and owned Vay’s Fantasy’s which sold beauty pageant merchandise. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Sunday, May 12, 2013 from 5pm until 9pm, and resume on Monday, May 13, 2013 from 12pm until funeral service at 2pm. Pallbearers will be Jeffery Roland Langlois, Devin Denicola, Derrick Denicola, Christopher Lemoine, Dallas Bacon and Gerry Duszynski. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
