

Edith Munn Vendt, 94, of Greenwell Springs, LA, died peacefully on February 1, 2017, at 8:40PM at Harvest Manor Nursing Home in Denham Springs. Born December 19, 1922, in Baton Rouge, LA, she is predeceased by her late husband of 58 years, Alfred S. Vendt, Sr., of Baton Rouge, LA; her parents, Jerome G. and Verda (Martin) Munn of Baton Rouge, LA and her great-grandson, Isaac Ellis Nathanson. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Alfred and Giorgina Vendt of Virginia, Ronald and Carolyn Vendt of Louisiana, Frank and Donna Vendt of Louisiana; a daughter, Kimon Woosley of Florida; 24 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Edith was a retired school bus driver for East Baton Rouge Parish School Board. She also worked as a representative for Stanley Home Products and a telephone operator for Bell Telephone. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Saturday, February 4, 2017, from 8:30AM until funeral service time at 10:00AM. Burial will immediately follow the funeral service at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Services will be conducted by Reverend Don Hoy of Southside Baptist Church in Denham Springs, LA.
