Eddie (Ed) R. Chaney, our Husband, Father and Grandfather, passed away Sunday May 16, 2021 at his home following a lengthy illness. A native of Greensburg LA and resident of Clinton LA, he was born on March 31, 1938 in Baton Rouge LA. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Dowdy Chaney of the home; two daughters Donna L. Morel, Pamela K. Windham; four grandchildren, Kayla R. Chaney, McKenzie A. Mayeaux (Jesse), Patrick E. Chaney and Joseph Ryan Windham (Jacqueline); four great grandchildren, Finley Laiche, Quinn Windham, Cade Windham, Evangeline Windham and Ava Mayeaux, and daughter in law, Jenetta F. Chaney. Preceded in death by his son, Eddie “Bo” Chaney, Father Rheaburn D. Chaney, Mother Opal Butler Chaney. Ed was an outdoorsman, who loved planting trees, gardening, hunting and being in the woods. Graveside service and interment will be held Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Masonic Cemetery, Hwy 10, Clinton LA. Our sincere thanks to Modern Hospice for their loving care. Our kindest thanks to his faithful caregiver, Lenetia Donahue, and to Lisa Fitch and Julie Jenkins for their care.
