Dorothy Gore passed away Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009, at age 86. She was a native of Wiggins, Miss., a longtime resident of Baton Rouge and retired telephone operator for American Bank. Visiting Saturday, Oct. 3, at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 9 a.m. until service at 10:30 a.m., conducted by Milford Walters, pastor. Survived by a son, Johnny Gore, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Davie and Edward Hatten; and a daughter, Glenda Sullivan. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
