Donald Ray Fontenot

A retired Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Hibernia Bank, he was a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Whitehall, La. He passed away Monday September 3, 2012, and was 79. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., on Friday September 7, 2012 from 8 am till service at 10am, conducted by Monsignor Gerald Lefebvre. Entombment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park Mausoleum. Don is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marjorie F. Fontenot, daughter, Phyllis and husband Richard Sullivan, two sons, Kenneth and wife Sheree Fontenot, and Donnie Fontenot, two sisters-in-law, Joyce Brown and Zilphia Fontenot, six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Rubye Fontenot, two brothers, Arthur Joseph Fontenot Jr., and Wilbur ""Bill"" Fontenot, two sisters, Leola Whitaker and Marion Augusta Fontenot, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Aynaud ""Jeff"" and Aurelia Fontenot, and brother-in-law, Milton ""Perry"" Brown. Pallbearers will be Teague Bourgeois, Joshua and Austin Fontenot, Richard Sullivan, Arthur Joseph Fontenot III, Jack Whitaker. He graduated from Maurepas High School and Southeastern University.
