"Dixie Ruth Taylor passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at the age of 83, a native of Schenectady, New York and a resident of Baton Rouge; she was owner of Daniell Battery. Dixie is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law; Dixie Danielle Taylor of Baton Rouge and Dr. Susan Taylor Carr and husband Charles of New Orleans, two sons; Mark Edward Taylor and Paul Gregory Taylor both of Baton Rouge, four grandchildren; Danielle Taylor, Dalya Adams, Claire Carr and Casey Carr. She was preceded in death by her husband; Edward G. Taylor, parents; Robert M. and Blanche Montgomery Daniels and a brother; R. M. Daniels. She was a graduate of LSU, a member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church, KAPPA KAPPA GAMMA Sorority, Faith Sunday School Class and Epochal Study Club. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East 11000 Florida Blvd. Saturday, February 18, 2017 starting at 9:30 am with services in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am, interment to follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Broadmoor United Methodist Church.
