Diane Brent went home to the Lord on December 20, 2023 at the age of eighty-one. Diane was born on March 20, 1942 in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be remembered most for the fierce love she had for her family. She will also be remembered for her kooky sense of humor and “mom jokes.”
Diane met her husband, James, in California and they were married in 1964. In 1967, they welcomed their only child, Pamela. Diane always tried to turn ordinary activities into special and memorable activities for her daughter. Diane could not have been prouder to become a grandmother to Gavin and Preston. She treasured her time with her grandchildren and loved to read stories and play with her grandchildren.
Diane loved sewing, crafting, and classic movies. She was a beloved neighbor and touched the lives of those who knew her. She made the world a better place with her kindness and love. Diane will be greatly missed by all of her loved ones and friends.
Diane is preceded in death by her father, George Klingensmith, and her mother, Beatrice Klingensmith. She is survived by her husband, James Brent, her daughter, Pamela Gautier, her son-in-law, Michael Gautier, Jr., and her grandsons, Gavin Gautier and Preston Gautier. Visitation will be held on January 5, 2024, at Rabenhorst Funeral Home located at 11000 Florida Boulevard, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70815 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., with services following immediately thereafter, and burial at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
