Debra D. Pate

Debra D. Pate passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at the age of 70. She was a native of Snyder, TX. At a young age, she moved to Baton Rouge, LA, where she never saw so much green vegetation in her life. Debra embraced Louisiana and made it her home. She enjoyed reading, loved life and pets and was an animal groomer for most of her life. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family. Debra is survived by her husband of 24 years, Jim; children, Gabi Blye (Rick), Marlona Seguin (Trevor), Chris Reed (Connolly), and Matt Reed; grandchildren, Adrian and Abigail Seguin, Hayden Reed, Aoife Reed, Jileesa, Tanja, Robin, Byron, and Ricki; brother, Jerry Dinwiddie (Joann); and a host of other loving family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandsons, Alexander Seguin and Keegan Reed; parents, J.W. and Jane Dinwiddie; and sisters, Doris Ann Dinwiddie and Donna Sue Riddle. There was nothing mom loved more than being surrounded by family and friends. For those that knew her, friends and family were one and the same. She also loved animals, especially dogs. Therefore, friends and family are invited to a celebration of her life at the N. Harrells Ferry Rd. Canes Dog Park on Monday, April 1st. We will be there from 4pm-7pm to honor her life by sharing stories and loving one another surrounded by animals as she loved to do so.
