Debra Lynne Barnhart Ingram went to her heavenly home on June 24, 2017, after a gallant battle with cancer. Debra was born in Jacksonville, Florida and was a resident of Baton Rouge. She was a sweet, precious soul and a virtuous woman who cared more for others than for herself. She loved the Lord. Debra was a wonderful wife and mother who found great joy in raising her large family. Debra truly loved every moment of the grandma daycare that she provided. She was an extremely creative and artistic person that through the years dabbled in painting and other crafts. Quilting later became her passion. True to her nature, she used her quilting skills to provide treasures for others in her network of care. In her younger years, besides being a loving wife and mother, Deb worked as an administrative assistant for The LSU School of Forestry. She also was a Center Supervisor for BREC; retiring in 2008 after 15 years of service. Debbie loved her LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints, and greatly enjoyed hosting family while watching the games. This sweet woman was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. H.D. Barnhart; her son, Jonathan Michael Ingram; her grandson, Cohen Todd Ingram; sister-in-law, Shannon Charlotte Ingram and mother-in-law, Charlotte Williams Ingram and father-in-law, Drury S. Ingram. Debra is survived by her husband, Stan Paul Ingram; her beloved children: son, Drury David Ingram and wife, Ashley and their children: Camille Elizabeth and Adeline Grace; son, Joshua Paul Ingram and wife, Haley Echlin; son, Zachary Todd Ingram and wife, Rebecca and their son, Colin Todd; daughter, L’erin Faith Ingram and fiancé, Dusty Wieckert and her son, Grayson Ionel Dobra; son, Quentin Parker Ingram and son, Wesley Matthew Ingram. Debra is also survived by her sister Marsha B. Norton and her husband Leon C. Norton of Lake Jackson, TX; nephews, Christopher C. Norton of College Station, TX and Timothy Norton of Lake Jackson, TX; sister-in-law, Shawn Ingram Mills and her husband, Hank Mills of Baton Rouge, nephews, Kelly Mills and Keagan Mills; nieces, Whitney Mills and Ainsley Mills Farris and numerous cousins that she always enjoyed spending time with. The family would like to offer sincere thanks to her extended family and care givers that were very gracious. A special thanks to Dr. Michael Castine, III of Hematology and Oncology clinic, the Nurses at the Oncology ward and Specialists of Baton Rouge General Medical Center, who were so supportive. Your kindness will never be forgotten. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation which will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., from 5 pm – 9 pm. Visitation will resume on Wednesday June 28, 2017 from 9 am until funeral service begins at 10 am. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
