David Lucien Kennedy, born January 6, 1941 in Lemoyne, Louisiana, went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 9, 2024 surrounded by the love of his family who were at his bedside. David was a resident of Denham Springs and a member of the Carpenter's Local 1098 for over 50 years prior to retirement. He was a Knights of Columbus member and usher in both his former St. Isidore Catholic Church Parish and current Immaculate Conception Church Parish. He is survived by his incredibly devoted wife of 61 years, Barbara Braud Kennedy; son and best friend, Michael David Kennedy; daughter in-law, Carla M. Kennedy whom he loved as his own; brother, Shelton Kennedy (Delores); several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law along with numerous nieces and nephews to whom he gave great care and brought great joy! Preceded in death by his infant children, Mark and Krista Kennedy; parents, Louis and Agnes Kennedy; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Edna G. Kennedy; and father in-law and mother in-law, Cleveland and Nellie Duvic Braud. Visitation at Immaculate Conception Catholic, Church in Denham Springs on Tuesday February 13, 2024 with public viewing from 10:30 a,m, until Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. Entombment at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers: Cleve, Joe, Chuck and Leonard Braud and Fred and Roy Kennedy; honorary pallbearers James and Jacob Rowe and Shelton and Kenneth Kennedy.
