"David Michael Dupuy passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018, at the age of 72. He was born on May 17, 1946, and was the first born of Percy Alexander Jr., and Elizabeth Burnett Dupuy. He was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, having attended Sacred Heart of Jesus Elementary School and was a 1964 graduate of Baton Rouge High School. He proudly served four years in the United States Air Force. He is survived by his sister Lauren (Johnny) Martone; brothers Randy Dupuy and Hal (Tyré) Dupuy; nephews Jeremy (Michelle) Martone; Matthew Martone; Christopher, Jordan and Chad Dupuy; great nephews and nieces; Justin and Miranda Martone; Alex and Maddie Dupuy; and his uncle; Roy J. Dupuy Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents Percy A. and Elizabeth B. Dupuy Jr.; grandparents James F. and Ruby Burnett and Percy A. and Henrietta Dupuy Sr. The family would sincerely like to thank the administration, staff and residents of Williamsburg Senior Living Community for the considerable love shown to David over his three years as a resident. You gave him a life that he never knew could exist. Thanks also to the numerous Baton Rouge area bands that brought David so much joy in his later years; he loved to hear you play. Thanks as well to Jefferson Manor Nursing Home where he spent his last eleven months. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government Street, Monday, October 29, 2018 from 10:00 am until services at 11:00 am conducted by his cousin Fr. Timothy Burnett, O.S.B. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations can be made to Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, baseball field restoration.
