Darrel Reese Spillman

Darrel Reese Spillman, a resident of Denham Springs, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2014, at the age of 58. He was a longtime member of Lanier Baptist Church and a former long distance truck driver. He is survived by his mother, Seetsie Spillman Thompson; daughter, Heather N. Spillman; son, Jeremy R. Spillman; brother-in-law, Tony Davis; nieces, Stefannie Jarreau, Sarah Richard, and Toni Davis; and his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Cecil D. Spillman; companion, Connie Scruggs; sister, Sharon Spillman Davis; and step-father, Joseph E. Thompson. Pallbearers are: Tony Davis, Dick Latimer, Gary Devall, Jeremy Spillman, Chuck Spillman and Paul Spillman. Honorary pallbearers are: Sidney Spillman, Kris Bondesen, Chuck Walters and Randy Reid. Visitation will be Tuesday July, 8, 2014, from 11:00 am till service time of 2:00 pm at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge. Interment will follow immediately at Greenoaks Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or to the Building Fund at First Baptist Church in Denham Springs
