He was a retired plant operator with Kaiser Aluminum and a resident of Central. Claybert died at 2 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Bluebonnet. He was 84 and a native of Paulina. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Monday, Jan. 5, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting at St. Augustine Episcopal Church chapel on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until Mass at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Cage. Entombment in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Baker. Survived by his daughter, Jana Peal; three sons, John, Ludwig and Jack Belle; sister, Ruth Ann McCoin; and seven grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Janet Ludwig Belle; parents, Joseph C. and Onorine Maurin Belle; granddaughter, Melissa Bailey; and seven siblings.
