

Claudia Miller, a resident of Central, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015 at the age of 83. She was October 14, 1931 in Hahnville, Louisiana to Claude and Bessie Percle. She was a graduate of University High. She was retired from Community Coffee, where she worked for 33 years. Claudia’s love for her family was evident in the vivid stories she told and her passion for preserving memories through archiving family photographs, tracing her family photographs, tracing her family lineage and videoing all family events. There was always a puzzle in progress next to a deck of cards on her kitchen table and she never wanted you to leave when you visited. Claudia is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Lemoyne Miller, her parents Claude Joseph Percle and Bessie Marie Lagarde Percle, her brother Herbet Percle, and a sister Ella Mae “Tiny” Percle. Claudia is survived by her son, Vernon Dwayne Miller, her sisters Ethlyn Langlois of Baton Rouge and Carol Ann Blankenship of Ashville, North Carolina and her numerous nieces and nephews left to cherish her kind and giving spirit. Visitation will be Sunday, June 28th 2015 from 5-9 p.m. at Greenoaks Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Monday, June 29, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. until service time of 10:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be nephews Mike Percle, Corey Whitaker, Brandon Escue, Kyle Guidry, Beau Gremillion and Reed Ensminger.
