Cindy Lynn Chidester

Cindy Lynn Chidester, native of Baton Rouge, and resident of Prairieville, La, passed away on February 23, 2022 at the age of 51. She was a graduate of Woodlawn High School and worked in child care for over 25 years. Cindy enjoyed shopping, motorcycle riding, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandbabies.

She is survived by her parents, Francis “Skip” and Rita Chidester; her fiancé and love of her life, Jeff Patrick; her children, Katelynn Elizabeth, Bradley Brecheen, CJ Brecheen, and Sean Patrick; her precious grandchildren, Hayden, Jude, Allison, Spencer, Noahh, Kaylee, and Kaylea; brother, Jason Chidester and wife Angie; nieces, Gabrielle and Shelby; nephew, Bryce; great-nieces, Everley and Ella; and aunts and uncles, Pat Chidester, Diane Merritt and Gerry “Hero” Chidester.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Hollis and Sue Merritt and Anna “Tuttie” Chidester; cousin, Michael Chidester, and her uncle, Glenn Merritt.

Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd, on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 from 5 pm until 8 pm and will continue on Thursday, March 3 at St. George Catholic Church from 9 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. There will be a gathering of friends and family at St George after the burial for food and drinks.
