Christopher Paul Moise was born on February 26, 1975 in Baton Rouge, LA, and died on March 6, 2024 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. He was 49 years old. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Lori and Andrew Shurtz, beloved nephew Paul Shurtz, former wife and friend Melanie Verzwyvelt, aunt Kathie Moise, and aunt and uncle Jeanie and Jerry Webb. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Moise, and died two days before his mother, Susan Moise. A longtime resident of Baton Rouge and recent resident of Lafayette, Chris worked proudly as a Sales Manager for wine and spirits distributor Mystic Vine. He attended St. George Catholic School and Catholic High School, where he formed lifelong friendships. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from LSU and was an avid fan of LSU basketball throughout his life. Chris was also a passionate audiophile, music collector, and historian. He spent countless hours researching favorite subjects such as Pink Floyd’s Syd Barrett and made significant discoveries that were shared with fellow researchers across the globe. He was a voracious reader, faithful friend, and charming conversationalist with a terrific dry wit. He will be celebrated, along with his mother, on Sunday, March 24, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Rabenhorst Funeral Home & Crematory, 825 Government Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70802. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Kidney Fund.
