Christine Bannister

Christine Bannister, Owner of Christina's Restaurant in Downtown Baton Rouge died Monday, January 26, 2015, surrounded by her family and friends. A lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, she graduated from Istrouma High School and attended LSU. She is survived by her fiancé, Kyle Beck; mother, Rosa Bannister; aunt, Helen Fox; uncle, Frank Fox; aunt, Elizabeth Ahrabli; sister, Dixie Bannister Roberts; sister, Arminea Bannister; brother, Mike Bannister and his wife Cheryl Bannister; nephews, Christopher Roberts, Grant Roberts, Landon "Buddy" Flowers, and Jack Bannister; niece, Meranda Flowers. She is preceded in death by her father, James M. Bannister, Sr. and uncle, Jack Michael Youssephoghli. The family would like to thank Dr. Gregory Fautheree and the nurses and staff at OLOL for the compassionate care they provided Christine in her final days. Visitation at Rabenhorst Downtown on Saturday, January 31, 2015, from 8am until 11am followed by her funeral in the chapel, conducted by Fr. Frank Uter. Burial to follow at Greenoaks Cemetery.
