Charles “Ric” Reulet, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at the age of 75. He was a native of Baton Rouge, LA, and a longtime resident of Ascension Parish. Ric proudly served in the U.S. Air Force as an air traffic controller. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned home to LA to raise his family in the Catholic Church and to establish his flooring and countertop business. As an outdoor enthusiast, he enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting, LSU sports, and family cookouts. He was a regular at youth sporting events, proudly cheering on his grandchildren and making new friends. He never met a stranger, and was quick to share his humor, laughter, or a well-timed and good-natured barb. Ric enjoyed helping others and could always be counted upon to lend a hand. Considered the “best dad ever” by his children, he cherished the time he spent with his kids, grandkids, and family. Ric is survived by his children, Stephanie Delaune (Paul), and Ric Reulet, Jr. (Nicole); grandchildren, Amanda Duplessis (Devin), Matthew and Jacob Delaune, Luke and Lexi Reulet; great-grandchildren, James and Margot; sisters, Joan Burkett (Charlie), Carole Reulet, Ellen Hingle; and longtime companion, Linda Day, and her family; and a host of other loving family members and friends. Ric is preceded in death by his parents, John Sr. and Josephine Reulet; brother, John Reulet, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Steve Hingle. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Monday, October 28, 2024, from 8:30am until the time of funeral services at 10am. Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to sign the online guestbook at www.greenoaksfunerals.com
