A loving father and grandfather passed away on Monday, January 4, 2016, at the age of 86. He served in the Army before working and retiring from Borden’s Milk Company. For 54 years, he attended Woodlawn Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening and loved his family. PawPaw always had a quick word for anyone, whether good or bad. He is survived by his two daughters, Carola Landry and husband Dan and Debbie Smith and husband C. E; grandchildren Sarah Hood and husband Joe, Lori Yielding and husband Chuck, Rebecca Gibbs and husband Brad, Deanna Landry, Faith Storck and husband Chris, Natasha Hall and husband Chris, Shane Smith, Jeremy Jouette and Jonathon Jouette; 14 great grandchildren Ashetyn, Haleigh, Camden, Victoria, Noah, Lauren, Randy, Aiden, Blaine, Olivia, Kamryn, Anjali, Andrew, Mia; brother, Kelly Jouette and wife Elaine; brother in law, James Butter and sister in law, Duthel Jouette. He is preceded in death by his wife Sally Thompson Jouette; sons, Randy Jouette and James Jouette; parents, Beverly and Ruth Jouette; brother, Ed Jouette; and sister Connie Butters. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home 9595 Florida Blvd Baton Rouge, LA on Thursday, January 7, 2016, from 5 PM until 8 PM with scripture and song at 7:30 PM. Visitation will continue on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Elwood Baptist Church 213 Elwood Rd, Forest Hill, LA 71430 from 10 AM until funeral service at 11 AM conducted by Pastor Dan Landry. Interment will follow in Butters Cemetery Forest Hill, LA. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The Gideons International.
