Carl James Lombardo “CJ” passed away on September 13, 2015 at The Carpenter House. He was born in Baton Rouge on November 17, 1937. He graduated from Istrouma High School, and helped manage a music tour and then went on into the Navy Reserve. He then worked as a butcher and owned several video stores. He enjoyed music, dancing, and spending time with family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father James “Nat” and mother Grace Moran Lombardo, his second wife Margaret, brother Anthony “Tony” and sister in law Lena Mae Guercio Lombardo, his sister Catherine and her husband Arthur and their son Tony Couvillion and his brother in law Herman Oufnac. He is survived by his partner in life Beverly Louise Vicaro and her children Kim & David Dykes and their 5 children & 1 grandchild, Melissa Vicaro and fiancée Jody Braud and their 3 children and 1 grandchild, his sister Angelina Oufnac and her 6 children, 10 nieces & nephews, 27 great nieces & nephews and his sister Catherine’s 3 children & nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., from 5pm-9pm. Visitation resumes on Thursday September 17, 2015 from 9am until funeral service at 10am at Our Lady of Mercy Church. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
