Chemin, Carl Wayne “As for me, my life has already been poured out as an offering to God. The time of my death is near. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. And now the prize awaits me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing.” 2 Timothy 4:6-8. Carl Wayne Chemin a resident of the City of Central passed away on Palm Sunday, March 24, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. He was a loving family man, who loved to experience God’s creation while hunting, fishing, gardening, and feeding the birds and other wildlife around his home. He was a member of Blackwater United Methodist Church his entire life. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Amanda Duplessis Chemin, daughter Terra Lynn Chemin, and son Scot Wayne Chemin and wife Angela Chemin. Two granddaughters that he adored Kassie Chemin Allen (Austin) and Katie Marie Chemin. Beloved sisters Wanda Chemin Whittington and Jan Chemin Case and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Mannie E. “Bud” Chemin and Ella Mae Chemin, brothers Jesse Ray Chemin and Rodney Dale Chemin. Carl was a proud veteran who served in the United States Air Force Strategic Air Command (SAC). Visitation will be held at Blackwater United Methodist Church, 10000 Blackwater Road, Baker, LA, on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 9:30am until funeral service at 11:00am. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
