Bridget Babin LeBlanc, beloved wife of Joseph Ivy LeBlanc, Sr., died Friday, October 30, 2015, at age 100. Predeceased by her husband of 67 years in 2010, she is survived by three children, Brother Ivy LeBlanc, S.C. of New Orleans, Nancy LeBlanc Guidry of Baton Rouge, and David LeBlanc of Nashville, Tennessee. She is also survived by four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A war bride, she and her husband began their family upon his return from World War II, became founding parishioners of Our Lady of Mercy Parish and she devoted herself to being a lifelong loving homemaker for the family. Throughout her children’s school years she was a dedicated volunteer at Our Lady of Mercy, Catholic High School and St. Joseph’s Academy. Once her children were grown, she then became a warm and caring volunteer at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital for over 30 years. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 3, from 6p.m. to 8p.m. Visitation will resume at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 4, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Entombment in Greenoaks Memorial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brothers of the Sacred Heart Foundation, 4600 Elysian Fields Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70122.
