Brent A. Slocum passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at the age of 62. He was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, LA. He was a kind-hearted, family man and would do anything for anyone that needed help and was a wonderful father to his only son, Tyler. Brent was the parts manager in the automotive world for over 30 years. He was a good friend and brother and will be sorely missed by anyone that knew him. He is survived by his son, Tyler Slocum; granddaughter, Ruby Slocum; mother, Jacqueline Slocum; siblings, Susan Posey (Ronald), Debra Slocum, Tommy Slocum; and a host of other loving family members and friends. Brent is preceded in death by his loving wife of 22 years, Tami Johnson Slocum; father, Norris Slocum, Sr.; and brother, Norris Slocum, Jr. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Friday, January 21, 2022, from 9:00am until the time of funeral services at 10:00am. Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
