Brenda Manda Bordelon, native of Baton Rouge and resident of Prairieville, passed away peacefully at home on October 31, 2021 at the age of 72. She was a high school graduate of St. Joseph Academy, Class of 1967. Brenda worked for the Department of Public Safety from 1970 until retirement in 1995. She was a faithful supporter of St. Joseph's Academy and The Sisters of St. Joseph and longtime member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was devoted to her family and adored her granddaughters. Brenda was an avid LSU fan, enjoyed traveling, going to the beach, spending time with extended family, and sitting on her back porch. Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Rickie Bordelon; son, Chase Hull and wife Brandi; two granddaughters, Camden and Piper Hull; two sisters, Patt Manda and Debbie Salvant (Paul); and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bennie and Isaure LeJeune Manda; and her sister, Sr. Phyllis Manda, C.S.J. Visitation will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church on Thursday, November 4, 2021 from 10:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon, conducted by Fr. Jerry Martin of St. John the Evangelist. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wendell Bordelon, Derrick Coburn, Kyle Coburn, Lionel Gauthier, Ted Labbe, Lenny Moss, Tyler Pritchett, and Paul Salvant. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Bordelon, Gary Coburn, and Jay Smith. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to Cure PSP (www.psp.org).
